BE VIGILANT AND REPORT SUSPECIOUS ACTIVITIES TO THE POLICE – HON. BOYE LARYEA

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly, hon. Boye Laryea has encourage members of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church to take issues of terrorists serious and report any suspicious activities to the police as they celebrate their 40th Anniversary Launch.

The guest of honor for the occasion, hon. Boye Laryea, told the church to take not of the rampant terrorists activities across Africa as a matter of urgency.

The MCE was speaking at the 40th Anniversary Launch of the Seventh – day Adventist church at Abeka in the Okaikwei North Municipality.

The guest of honor explained to the church that, the Ministry for National Security has launch a citizen’s awareness campaign aimed at protecting the country against terrorist attack.

Hon. Laryea stated, the campaign dubbed: see something, say something encourages the public to be vigilant of the activities of any suspicious characters and report such activities to the security agencies.

The launch formed part of the Ministry’s border counter –terrorism strategy aimed at sensitizing the public to any terrorist threats and encouraging citizenry to collaborate with state security agencies to reduce the threat of terrorism in the country.

The MCE urge members of the church to participate fully in the initiative of the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo: “In recent times government has launched the Operation Clean your Frontage Campaign which is an intervention under the agenda ‘’Let’s Make Accra Work “, formulated to support the realization of the vision of the President of the Republic of Ghana to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa and by extension the urban region of Greater Accra.

Hon. Laryea also unveiled the Seventh–Day Adventist Church Logo and donated cash to the church.

The MCE went with, Deputy Director of Okaikwei North, Head of Security, Department of NADMO, Department of Social Welfare and Information Services Department of Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly.
