Honourable Boye Laryea the Okaikwei North Chief Executive (MCE) has ended a tour of some fourteen Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Centres in the Municipality with a call on the candidates to strive to pass the examination.
He stressed the need for the Candidates to progress from the Junor High School (JHS) level to the Senior High School especially as the Free Senior High School policy awaits them.
“Make sure you pass for all of us and your parents so that you can attend some of the best SHS’s in the country” he said.
The MCE tasked the students to shun all forms of exam malpractices.
During a phase two tour of examination centres in the Okaikwei North Constituency, Honourable Laryea urged the candidates to relax and concentrate because there is no need to be anxious for anything.
While wishing the candidate the best of luck, he was optimistic the candidates have been adequately prepared for the exams.
The MCE was accompanied by Mrs. Cynthia Aboni, the Municipal Education Director for Okaikwei North Municipality.
Some of the Centres visited are Achimota School, ST. Michaels School, Sackey Odoi Basic School, Nii Okine Primary and Junior High School, Nii Boiman SDA, Achimota Anglican School and Pentecost Centre.
Earlier on Monday August 7. the MCE visited the Apenkwa Cluster of Schools, Mzpah International School, Fadama Cluster of Schools, Tesano Cluster of Schools and St. Charles Lwanga R/C Basic School among others.
In the Okaikwei North Municipality, a total of 1,749 candidates comprising 880 males and 916 females are writing the exams.
