COVID-19: ONMA Opens Two-Day ‘Grace Period’ for Vaccination

Six vaccination centers have been opened in the Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly (ONMA) in the Greater Accra Region for a two-day covid vaccination mop-up exercise.

This is to afford residents in the Municipality who might have missed the mainstream vaccination period the chance to get the jab.

These are Achimota hospital, Achimota Transport Terminal Clinic and the Lapaz Community Hospital Main.

The rest are Ankam Medical Centre,
Achimota Market and the Abeka Methodist.

Meanwhile, some 14,000 residents are expected to be vaccinated after the 7 days covid-19 vaccination exercise in the 26 vaccination centers in the Municipality.

The Assembly’s Health Director, Nana Ama Adjabeng said 14,000 people around the Municipality are expected to receive the covid-19 second dose.

According to her the response has been been impressive as many people are rushing for the second dose of the vaccination against covid-19.

The Municipal health director however, advised that even after the vaccination we should continue to observe all the protocol that the government has put in place
