Hon. Laryea Calls For Periodic Training Of Security Guards

The Municipal Chief Executive of Okaikwei North Municipality Hon Boye Laryea has advocated periodic training for staff of security companies. This he notes will empower them to face the ever changing dynamics of their profession. Speaking at the commissioning of the refurbished office complex of  Eden Securities Services Limited located in the Municipality, Hon. Laryea emphasized that the dynamics of the security business is changing. “We are being faced with the issue of terrorism. I want to advise Eden Securities to periodically train their security guards. More often than not, we are quick to create these institutions but what it takes to maintain is our challenge.”

Hon. Laryea added: “Let’s give periodic training to our staff so that they will be in the position to face the challenges we are confronted with.” He urged the company to be up and doing, indicating that as the Municipal Chief Executive of the Municipality and also the Chairman of Municipal Security Council (MUSEC),”I will have a rapport with the company to share the ideas and the challenges that they may be confronted with.” Mr. Alex Awuiah, Chairman of the event and the Managing Director of Apex Bank was optimistic the new facility will give both clients and staff the right ambience to do business. Mr. Emmanuel Quartey, the Chief Executive of Eden Securities expressed gratitude to the staff whose daily toils he said has spurred the company on to its enviable heights.
