Staff of Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region have been educated on the way to access the Tier 2 and 3 Pension funds.
The five-day activity (Monday 7th to Friday 11th August, 2023) organized by the Human Resource Department with officials from the Hedge Pension Trust afforded staff the opportunity to fill their Tier 2 and 3 enrolment forms and handle other pension related matters.
The interaction is to reverse the trend where staff who have not filled the Tier 2 form with the required information could not access their contributions or claim retirement benefits.
The exercise was also an avenue for members of staff who have challenges in accessing their code to rectify it and as well afforded staff who are yet to enroll onto the system the opportunity to so.
Mr. Albert Quartey, a Marketing Officer of Hedge Pension Trust said the exercise is to offer the staff of the Assembly the chance to be registered onto the Scheme.
He said the staff could also check their Tier 2 and 3 balance.
Mr. Quartey stated that the Trust is particularly impressed with the staff turnout.
He explained that the turn out for the 2023 exercise is encouraging than previous years.
The Hedge Pension Trust Marketing Officer explained that new staff comprising both Government of Ghana (GoG) and Internally Generated (IGF) Staff have been rolled onto the scheme.
