Okaikwei North MCE Calls for Unity, Renewed Commitment at Staff Durbar.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly (ONMA), Honourable Christiaan Tetteh Badger, has called on staff of the Assembly to enter the new year with unity, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in public service delivery.

He was optimistic that with renewed commitment, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose, the Assembly would achieve even greater milestones in the coming year.
While describing 2025 as challenging but successful, Hon. Badger, attributed the Assembly’s achievements to the collective effort, resilience, and professionalism of staff.

Addressing Management and staff at a staff durbar in Accra, he stated “Despite the many difficulties we encountered, your hard work and dedication ensured that the Assembly continued to deliver on its mandate to the people of Okaikwei North.”
The MCE noted that the successes recorded were not accidental but the result of sustained commitment across all levels of the Assembly.

He commended both management and staff for their perseverance and urged them to build on the progress made by strengthening collaboration and maintaining high professional standards in the year ahead.
Hon. Badger seized the occasion to announce a significant improvement in staff welfare support as part of Management’s commitment to boosting morale and strengthening institutional solidarity.

He disclosed that funeral support for staff has been increased from GH¢2,000 to GH¢5,000, while benefits for deceased staff now stand at GH¢10,000.
In addition, baby naming and wedding support packages have both been enhanced from GH¢1,000 to GH¢2,000.
In the view of the Okaikwei North Assembly MCE, these increments are intended to ensure that the Assembly stands firmly with its staff during both difficult and joyful moments, reinforcing a sense of belonging and shared responsibility within the Assembly.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis K. Mensah noted that 2025 was a difficult but successful year, thanking God for the progress made.
He encouraged staff to use the occasion as a moment of reflection, particularly to assess their attitude towards work and recommit themselves to improved performance in the coming year.

Mr. Salifu Seidu, the Deputy Director of Administration and Madam Adiza Awudu Ali, the Senior Human Resource Manager, took staff through the Local Government Protocols and Performance Contract, while four retired staff members were honoured for their dedicated service to the Assembly.
Heads of Departments and Units, as well as staff of the Assembly, were present at the durbar.
