Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Honourable Boye Laryea has been rated Excellent with 81.69 percent for its impeccable performance during the period under review.
The National Ranking of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the 2020 Annual Local Government Service Performance Contract gave Okaikwei North Municipal 81.69 percent thereby placing the 49th Position out of about 260 MMDAs across the country.
The Municipal chalked this success as a result of the gradual transformation of the area coupled with immense development witnessed since the Municipal came to existence.
Okaikwei Municipal has seen strategic and well-planned development agenda in the area such as a number of road constructions, on-going clinic project, the dining hall at Achimota School among others.
As part of the Municipality’s 3rd Anniversary Celebration, there was a Clean-up exercise held over the weekend within the area with full participation by the residents.
Today 26th July 2021 Monday, students, teachers, and other stakeholders are expected to witness a Commissioning Ceremony of an ICT Library built by the Assembly at the New Fadama Cluster of School close to the residents of the National Chief Imam.
Thereafter, there would also be a Photo Exhibition on the numerous projects and initiatives completed as well as on-going ones by the Assembly expected to be held at the Forecourt of the Municipal Assembly Office situated Tesano-Accra.
