The role of the Presiding Member includes the following:

• Presides over general Assembly meetings.
• Controls deliberation and ensures good conduct and good behavior at Assembly meetings.
• Has casting vote
• Chairs public relations and complaint committee meetings.

Consults in the selection of members to be appointed to zonal council.
