The Chief Executive of Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly, Honourable Boye Laryea has given the strongest indication ever to spearhead the full completion of the Tesano Cluster of Schools.
This he said is necessary to create the appropriate teaching and learning environment for both teachers and pupils of the school.
The Okaikwei North MCE gave the assurance during the handing over of the ground floor of the two-story Tesano Cluster of Schools classrooms to the Assembly by the Contractor on Wednesday 20th March, 2024.
Honourable Laryea stated “We are hoping to get funds to complete the project so that we would come and do the opening properly…The partial completion is better than waiting for the whole project to be completed before our children move in to learn.”
He commanded the School Management, teachers, staff and other stakeholders for their patience during the entire duration of the project stressing that “the teaching and learning environment has not been the best but the school management have been able to hold on till now.”
Honourable Laryea stated that the security of the school will be beefed up especially at night to protect the properties of the school.
Mrs. Cynthia Aboni, the Municipal Education Director who received the keys to the building from the MCE and handed it over to the Headteacher of the School, Madam Fati Abudu said the Directorate is grateful for the structure, have accepted the building in good faith and pledged to use it for the intended purpose.
She appealed to the Assembly to complete the washrooms for use by the pupils and was optimistic there would be funds for the total completion of the project.
Madam Abudu was grateful to the Assembly for the building and assured that the building would positively impact teaching and learning in the school.
Present at the ceremony was the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Mensah, Enock Owusu Okyere, the Assembly Member for the area, the Contractor and the Management and staff of the Assembly.
