The ONMA organized a two-day fresher training on child protection toolkits from March 3rd to 4th, 2025, for the staff of SWCD and other Child protection facilitation team members.
The facilitators were from the Greater Accra Child Protection Regional facilitation team (GAR DCD and Department of Children).
The purpose was to equip the ONMA child protection facilitation team with the necessary skills to identify child abuse behaviors in the communities, resolve issues, and input CP activity reports on the Child Protection Social and Behavior Change Program portal, allowing ONMA activities to be monitored and reviewed.
Participants were selected from various departments such as SWCD, NCCE, HR, Budget, GES, and Dev. Planning.
The facilitation team took the participant through a gradual procedure in identifying and dealing with child Abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
In total, twenty-seven (27) participants benefited from the training, made up of eleven (11) males and sixteen (16) females.
