On Sunday, 30th August, 2026, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Christian Tetteh Badger, joined the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and thousands of Muslims and community members for the National Maulid Walk.
The walk commemorated the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and highlighted his teachings of faith, peace, unity, and compassion.
The MCE’s Message:
“I was honoured to join the National Chief Imam and the Muslim community for this important occasion. The Maulid Walk reminds us of the values that bind us as Ghanaians—unity, tolerance, and mutual respect. Okaikwei North is committed to fostering peaceful coexistence among all faiths.”
The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has been widely recognised as a symbol of interfaith harmony and a beacon of religious tolerance in Ghana.
Let us continue to build bridges of understanding and unity in our municipality and beyond!
