Miss. Joana Arries-Tagoe

Miss. Joana Arries-Tagoe is the Head of Information Services Department [ISD] of Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly [ONMA]. She joined ISD as a Journalist in October, 2010 after which she rose through the ranks and was promoted to her current rank in March, 2018.

Miss. Arries-Tagoe earned her Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] in Management Studies from Methodist University College, Ghana in 2016 and proceeded to undertake further studies at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Teshie where she obtained a Master of Science [Msc.] in Defence and International Politics in August, 2022.

WHAT WE DO
  1. Engages with the media, fostering positive relationships and ensuring accurate representation of government initiatives.
  2. Act as bridge between the public and government institutions by ensuring citizens can effectively access information related to public affairs – Right To Information [RTI]
  3. Conduct public education on the Right To Information [RTI] law.
  4. Conduct Survey on government programmes and activities.
  5. Undertake public education campaigns on government activities and programmes.
  6. Undertake sensitization on government activities.
  7. Receive complaints from the public regarding Assembly’s activities /staff behaviour and resolve them through PRCC.
  8. Organize Public Relations and Complaints Committee (PRCC) meetings.
  9. Project the Assembly’s activities to the public through media engagements.
  10. Any other assignment assigned to the office.
