Mrs. Akorfa Adu-Gamadeku is a professional Accountant with over 25yearss of working experience in the Public Sector.
She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana, Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana and also a Management Consultant.
Akorfa Also holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) Accounting and Finance Option from University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) UK, and Certified Accounting Technician Certificate from ACCA – UK.
Akorfa has been a staff of Controller and Accountant General’s Department for over 25years.
She has held various positions and is currently the Municipal Finance Officer at the Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly.
She has been extensively involved in the implementation of Public Financial Management reforms in the Local Government System
What we do:
- Receiving and custody of public funds: The department receives and securely holds public and trust funds (Consolidated and Donor funds) for the assembly.
- Disbursements: The department makes payment on behalf of the assembly.
- Preparation of financial statements: The department prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for submission to the appropriate institutions.
- Facilitate the mobilization of revenue for the assembly.
- Advice management on all financial matters.
- Field monitoring of revenue collectors.
