The Okaikwei North Municipal Chief Executive has donated thirty-five (35) street lights to the office of the National Chief Imam in support of the National Annual Mawlid Nabiyl Celebration.
The gesture according to Hon. Christian Tetteh Badger is to illuminate the venue and to improve the security of participants at the event.
Premeeting the lights at a brief ceremony in Accra on Wednesday September 2, 2026, the Okaikwei North MCE stated that the Assembly was committed to contributing its quota to the success of the event set to draw participants from across Africa.
Receiving the lights, Mr. Osmanu Seidu, the Executive Secretary at the Office of the National Chief Imam and Secretary to the Planning Committee thanked the Assembly for the gesture.
He assured that the lights would be used for the intended purpose.
The MCE later inspected and joined preparatory works ahead of the programme on Saturday August 5, 2026.
He lead a team of staff from the Assembly to prepare the grounds for the event.
The event is expected to also serve as a platform for promoting peace, unity, compassion and justice—values that His Eminence the National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu continues to champion in his lifelong service to Ghana and humanity.
